What is a WALL-MAN man lift?
A WALL-MAN is a lift which runs on compressed air. It can be operated up/down, left/right and in/out for work on high vehicles and objects. The lift is mounted to the walls of a booth. The WALL-MAN’s lower support wheels run on the wall and not on the ground. It is designed to carry one person with tools and equipment. The WALL-MAN is often referred to as man lift, or in more technical terms as a pneumatic work platform.
The main benefits of the WALL-MAN design are increased safety for the operators while working at height on the vehicle or object, a significant improvement in efficiency as the job gets done much quicker and the increased quality of the surface treatment (paint) as operator get access to all corners and angels, combined with less overspray (a direct cost saving).
The WALL-MAN is controlled from the cage of the operator – all three axis - up/down, left/right and in/out. The operator can move around on the vehicle or object inside the booth to do painting, masking, adding signs, applying decals, making repairs, with greater speed, comfort and safety than normally attained by using old fashioned stepladders or scaffolds. An extra air outlet in the cage gives the operator the opportunity to use extra air tools from the cage, without having extra hoses hanging around from the ground floor.
As the WALL-MAN is completely mounted to the walls of a spray booth, in combination with a compact design, the floor inside the booth is open and free - space to move around on the ground – no hindrance for ground personnel. And as there is no contact with the floor as the lower supporting wheels run on the wall, hoses etc on the floor are no problem.
It is safe to use the WALL-MAN in hazardous environments such as spray booths (where explosive gases and fumes may exist - normally referred to as an ATEX-zone), as it is only powered by compressed air there are no sources for ignitions. The WALL-MAN is ATEX-, CE- and UL certified.
The WALL-MAN can be installed in both new and existing booths, provided the structure of the booth can carry the modest loads involved.
Typically, the WALL-MAN would fit into the following segments: aerospace, buses and coaches, commercial vehicles, military, railway, engineering, and the main applications would be within preparation, painting and washing.
CE, CAS and UL certified and ATEX compliant.
What is a WALL-MAN XL man lift?
A WALL-MAN XL is a lift which runs on compressed air. It is much larger than a normal WALL-MAN – it can go higher and carry up to two persons plus tools and equipment. It can be operated up/down, left/right and in/out for work on high vehicles and objects. The lift is mounted to the walls of a booth, and its lower support runs on rails fixed to the ground. The WALL-MAN XL is often referred to as man lift, or in more technical terms as a pneumatic work platform.
The main benefits of the WALL-MAN XL design are increased safety for the operators while working at height on the vehicle or object, a significant improvement in efficiency as the job gets done much quicker, the increased quality of the surface treatment (paint) as operator get access to all corners and angels combined with less overspray (a direct cost saving), and finally added height and the possibility to have two persons working alongside each other.
The WALL-MAN XL is controlled from the cage of the operator – all three axis - up/down, left/right and in/out. The operator can move around on the vehicle or object inside the booth to do painting, masking, adding signs, applying decals, making repairs, with greater speed, comfort and safety than normally attained by using old fashioned stepladders of scaffolds. An extra air outlet in the cage gives the operator the opportunity to use extra air tools from the cage, without having extra hoses hanging around from the ground floor.
It is safe to use the WALL-MAN XL in hazardous environments such as spray booths (where explosive gases and fumes may exist - often referred to as an ATEX-zone), as it is only powered by compressed air there are no sources for ignitions. The WALL-MAN is ATEX-, CE- and UL certified.
The WALL-MAN XL can be installed in new and existing booths, provided the structure of the booth can carry the modest loads involved.
The WALL-MAN XL would fit into the following segments which would need extra height and power to enable two operators to work simultaneously in the cage: aerospace, buses and coaches, commercial vehicles, military, railway, engineering, and the main applications would be within preparation, painting and washing.
CE, CAS and UL certified and ATEX compliant.
What is a LIFTMAN man lift?
The LIFTMAN is an autonomic man lift, running on only compressed air. The lift is fully controlled from the cage. From the control panel in the cage, the operator can drive it forward and backwards, steer it left and right, and of course lift the cage up and down. The LIFTMAN is sometimes referred to as man lift, and in a more technical term - a pneumatic lift solution.
The man lift can move along and around the vehicle or object. The lift has its own hose reel installed. The LIFTMAN only needs an air outlet to connect to, and has a working range of 9.9 meters from. Extra air tools can be connected to the air outlet inside the cage, reducing the needs for hoses lying around on the floor.
The LIFTMAN’s benefits are the increased safety for operators doing work at height, a major increase in job efficiency as the work is done quicker, and of course the quality of end result is improved as there is less overspray (paint), and the operator accesses the difficult spots and angels.
The LIFTMAN is easy to manoeuvre and very useful in narrow booths where objects might change in form and shape due to various tasks. It can easily be moved around even without being connected to compressed air – just tow it along to a desired area.
The man lift offers a safe, comfortable and efficient working environment, removing the use and need for scaffolds and ladders, which normally slows down the production and provides less safety.
The LIFTMAN is designed to work within hazardous environments such as for example spray booths, where gases and fumes may be present (an ATEX-zone). Since it runs on compressed air only, there is no source for ignition. Jobs such as painting, masking, adding signs, applying decals, or making repairs on high-sided vehicles or objects can be done with greater speed and safety than normally possible using stepladders or scaffolding.
The man lift requires no installation, only access to compressed air. It is a "plug and play" product. Combined with its small footprint and possibility to move to other locations or booths nearby, it is a preferred solution for smaller spray booths.
The LIFTMAN has been set to use in many segments, ranging from, buses and coaches, commercial vehicles, midsize vehicles, railway and trams.
CE, CAS and UL certified and ATEX compliant.
What is a LIFTMAN FOLD man lift?
The LIFTMAN FOLD is a new product, based upon the original LIFTMAN, targeting the requirements for the offshore and onshore gas and oil industry – for example oil rigs, chemical plants etc.
The LIFTMAN FOLD is an autonomic man lift, powered only by air. The man lift is moved around at the location by using a handle and dragging or pushing it into the desired position. When in position, it needs to be connected to compressed air, before it will take the operator up and down for maintenance and normal work in the desired height. Note: scuba dive tanks can be used where no outlet for compressed air is present.
The man lift has a foldable mast which allows the lift to be transported through narrow passages such as doors. It can easily be moved into an elevator and be moved to another level, making the solution very versatile for various job tasks – inside the platform or outside on the deck, or outside buildings. The LIFTMAN FOLD is certified to be used outdoors in wind conditions up to 12 meter per second.
It has different in built safety features. No movement (up/down) if the outriggers are not in out-position and has contact with the surface or if the mast is not proper secured (either when folded down or upwards position). The LIFTMAN FOLD has been designed and certified for outdoor use as well as indoor use.
Why does it not drive forward/backwards as the LIFTMAN? Due to requirements and request from operators at oil platforms and rigs, the "no drive-function" was in compliance with norms and regulations for movement on offshore installations.
The LIFTMAN FOLD is easy to move around even though its weight. The added weight is used for more stability when being operated outdoors and in windy conditions. Its practical steering and moving handle allows the manlift to do sharp turning circles – easy access to narrow places.
As the LIFTMAN FOLD is powered only by compressed air, and there is no source for ignition, it is safe to use in hazardous environments such as oil and gas installations, where gases and fumes may be present. The man lift is ATEX-, CE and UL certified.
The LIFTMAN FOLD has been set to address segments such as chemical plants and oil and gas installations, both offshore and onshore, where the use for the lift would be indoors and outdoors, and where there is a need to move and transport the man lift inside a building where door passages will limit a larger lift.
CE, CAS and UL certified and ATEX compliant.
